Sayan Radnaev joined urgewald in January 2021 and supports the research team in the areas of "Global Coal Exit List" and "Global Gas and Oil Exit List".
Sayan originally comes from the Republic of Buryatia, which stretches from Lake Baikal to the Yablonovy Mountains in Russia. There he studied land use planning and worked in the agricultural sector. Sayan completed his double master's degree in Urban Development, Development Economics and International Cooperation at TU Darmstadt and Tor Vergata University in Rome. In recent years, he has gained extensive knowledge in land use planning, environmental protection and fundraising through his work in various NGOs and public institutions. He has also worked as a content specialist and GIS processor.
He prefers to spend his free time outside riding his bike and enjoying everything that Berlin's vibrant culture has to offer.
